Flair backs have large tufts of thick fur along the sides of their spines. When under threat or for ritual display their tufts fluff straight up. They will turn their bodies sideways so that they look bigger then they appear.
Males are much more 'flashy' in color compared to females.
They make sounds like birds, and are strictly fruit eaters.
